2. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information.
PetPillBox is designed to work entirely offline on your device. All data you enter — including pet names, medication names, dose history, household member names, and any photos — is stored locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers.
We do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any contact information
- Your location or GPS data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or crash reports
- Pet health information or medication data
- Photos taken within the app
- Any other personally identifiable information
3. How Your Data Is Stored
All data entered into PetPillBox is stored using your device's local storage (Android Shared Preferences). This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is not backed up to any cloud service by PetPillBox
- Is not accessible to us or any third party
- Is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear app data
If your device's operating system backs up app data to Google Drive or another service, that backup is governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.
4. Third-Party Services
PetPillBox does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. We do not use:
- Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics
- Facebook SDK or any social media SDKs
- Advertising networks or ad SDKs
- Crash reporting services
- Any other third-party data collection tools
5. Notifications
PetPillBox uses local push notifications to remind you of scheduled medication times. These notifications are:
- Generated entirely on your device
- Not sent through any external server
- Not used for marketing or promotional purposes
- Controllable through your device's notification settings and within the app
6. PDF Export
PetPillBox can generate a PDF report of your pet's medication history. This PDF is:
- Generated entirely on your device
- Never transmitted to our servers
- Shared only when you explicitly choose to share it using your device's share function
7. Camera and Photos
PetPillBox requests camera and photo library access to allow you to add photos of your pets and medications. Photos are:
- Stored only on your device within the app's local storage
- Never uploaded to any server
- Never shared with third parties
8. Children's Privacy
PetPillBox does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any personal information from any users, this app is safe for use by families including children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
